Accountant

Requirement:

- Support the Financial Accounting Section functions of the department.
- Support the treasury functions of the department.
- Support the Budget and Cost Section functions of the department.
- Prepare aging reports for receivables and calculate impairment provisions per IFRS.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for bank accounts.
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external vendors.
- Ensure timely input of all received invoices into the system.
- Assist the Senior Accountant in producing spreadsheets and statistical data.
- Ensure all payments are authorized according to policies and procedures.
- Follow up with vendors and departments on missing documents.
- Process invoices and related documentation for accounts payable promptly.
- Assist with vendor inquiries as needed.
- Follow up with departments for clearance of outstanding invoices.
- Prepare monthly closings and reconciliations with other modules.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with external suppliers.
- Respond to queries from vendors or departments in a timely manner.
- Recommend improvements to Accounts Payables practices.
- Collaborate with team members to maximize performance.
- Use JDE for recording, reconciling, and generating financial reports.
- Manage intercompany accounts and prepare journal entries as appropriate.
- Prepare withholding tax reports and ensure timely payments.
- Follow up on reconciling items in balance sheet accounts and prepare adjustments.
- Participate in the monthly General Ledger close process.
- Liaise with the treasury department to ensure accurate posting of transactions.
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports, trend analyses, and special analyses.
- Adhere to client's Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
- Attend analytical sessions and meetings as required.
- Maintain a master list of monthly journal entries and assist auditors.
- Perform ad-hoc duties to support the business.
- Prepare disbursement analysis reports.
- Coordinate with the Materials Operations Department on physical stock checks.
- Participate in physical inventory counts to ensure financial records match physical assets.
- Manage annual impairment reviews for intangible assets and fixed assets.
- Recommend process or system changes to improve capital asset management.
- Efficiently use JDE to review transactions and generate reports.

Experience and Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as an accountant with recognized firms.
- Experience in assisting in developing budgeting plans at a complex organization.
- Highly numerate with developed analytical skills using qualitative and quantitative data.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including common word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs.
- Bilingual with mastery of written and spoken Arabic and English.
