- Suspend activities that pose threats to workers' health and safety.
- Recommend protective measures against hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
- Investigate workplace accidents to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
- Assess ventilation, exhaust systems, lighting, and other environmental factors affecting health and performance.
- Develop and maintain hygiene programs.
- Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Project Engineer to implement control/remedial measures for hazardous conditions or equipment.
- Conduct safety training and education programs; demonstrate proper use of safety equipment.
- Provide health and safety orientations for new employees; prepare relevant materials.
- Collect samples of dust, gases, vapors, and other toxic substances for analysis.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the GCC/MENA region.
- Bachelor’s Degree OR Technical Diploma (3-year course) in a relevant engineering field.
- NEBOSH IGC certification.
- Certification in one of the following: IOSH Managing Safety, OSHA 30 Hours, or a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from an accredited institution.
- Valid and current First Aid Certification.
